Born in New York City, her family moved shortly after she learned to walk to the snowy mountains.  She grew up in Northeast Pennsylvania in the land of ski slopes and heart-shaped bathtubs and hoofed around the town like a teenage hoodlum until she got a car and mellowed out.

After high school, she moved back to the city to walk on bridges and trip on sidewalks, all while attending Hunter College.  Spending a little time in Spain to siesta and learn Spanish that she would quickly forget, she graduated with a BA in studio art in 2011.

These days she spends most of her time in Brooklyn, eating dumplings, people watching, and freelancing.
